On October 15, 2016, 1300 guests attended the 2 nd Annual Philly Fights Cancer event in Philadelphia. Round 2 raised an incredible $5.5 million to support translational research and clinical trials at Penn Medicine’s Abramson Cancer Center. Guests enjoyed a fabulous cocktail party, a seated dinner in the Evantine Design beautifully transformed tennis hall and a fun after party with photo booths, casino and incredible treats. Performances included comedian Tig Nataro, who shared with the audience that she was a four-year cancer survivor. Also on the bill was singer, actress Jennifer Hudson who wowed the crowd by beginning her performance amongst the guest tables before making her way to the stage. Legendary singer-songwriter Lionel Richie brought down the house signing all of his major hits while dancing on stage with many from the audience! Madlyn Abramson and her daughter, Nancy Abramson Wolfson were co-chairs of the gala which honored renowned oncologist Dr John H Glick and philanthropist Sharyn Berman.
